Back to Cairns
Well, we made it back to Cairns eventually. The injectors were leaking abit but we thought bugger it, and left anyway. we broke down twice on the way, air getting into the injectors. and the positive terminal came off the battery with all the vibrations and so the battery went flat, so wecouldnt bleed them. broken down on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere with no other cars coming along seemed hopeless for a while, with me and si trying to bump start all 2.5 tonnes of it on dirt. Eventually someone came along and stopped, and we got going again. Later we had to stop to take a piss, and it wouldnt start again...same story, although at least we were on a main highway by then,
We went out and got horendously pised last night, Simon jumping off the wagon after nearly 3 months. Had the worst hangover in a long time today. Couldnt even face getting out of bed ( well, out of the back seat of the car where i passed out) untill nearly 3pm.
Confidence was up in the vehicle, and we thought all we had to do was fix the crank seal and sort the injectors and we would have some sort of useable, reasonable vehicle. But now, earlier today when we were going to by another Whopper from burger king, (havent had junk food in 2 months!) , something horrible has happened to the car. There is a disguisting mettalic slap, sounds like a valve or something, when its under load. This could be the end of the car, and possibly the trip aas no cash to get another one, unless we buy (another) heap of shit which could lead to all the same problems all over again....same shit, different car.
well, will keep you posted on developments witht the damn thing.
at least we can go to a shop and get bits for it now, instead of having to wait for mailplane day.

moving on
well, tomorrow we move on i believe. bruce works, holds temperature ok. still bubbling a little bit from the header tank but bollox to it.
maybve a problem with the injectors leaking. we shall see.
if you dont hear from me for a while, we are heading south from moreton to wards cairns....
